Police: San Angelo Man Arrested for DWI After Crashing Into Business and Parked Car

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — A driver was arrested early Thursday after crashing into a local business and a parked vehicle, causing more than $10,000 in damages, according to San Angelo police. 

John Montelongo, 40, was taken into custody on a charge of driving while intoxicated after officers determined he had lost control of his vehicle and crashed into the Tilted Mug at 3520 Knickerbocker Road.

This happened around 1:30 a.m., according to the San Angelo Police Department. Responding officers reported signs of intoxication during their investigation, leading to Montelongo’s arrest.

No injuries were reported, but the crash caused significant property damage to the business and the nearby vehicle.
