SAN ANGELO, TX - A Wednesday afternoon crash sent three people to the hospital, and one vehicle came to a rest on top of another, and now San Angelo Police explain just how that happened.
We reported earlier that a three-car crash occurred at the intersection of 17th Street and North Bryant.
Official information details the crash from The San Angelo Police Department.
The information states that a blue Chevy Equinox was traveling west on W 17th, while a silver Volkswagen Tiguan was south on N Bryant, and a red Ford Fusion was facing east on 17th St, stopped at the stop sign.
The crash occurred when the Chevy failed to yield the right of way from a yield sign, entering the intersection and crashing with the VW.
This impact caused the Chevy to roll over, ultimately resting on top of the Ford.
The one occupant inside the Chevy and the two inside of the Ford were transported to Shannon for further treatment, “nothing life-threatening.”
The singular occupant of the VW was released at the scene.
The Chevy driver was cited for failing to yield the right of way from a yield sign.
