Lunch Hour Crash Halts Traffic on Knickerbocker

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — A crash at Knickerbocker Road and Loop 306 ground traffic to a halt just before noon on Thursday.

The collision occurred at around 11:40 a.m. between a bronze Toyota crossover traveling north on Knickerbocker Road and a grey Nissan Rogue traveling south on the same street. The driver of the Toyota attempted to make a left turn across traffic onto the Loop 306 frontage road and pulled out in front of the Nissan, causing the collision.

San Angelo police on the scene issued a citation to the Toyota driver for failure to yield the right of way.

No ambulance was on the scene, and no injuries were reported as a result of the crash.

All southbound traffic on Knickerbocker Road is currently being diverted to Loop 306 headed east, and the frontage road on the opposite side of the light leading up to Knickerbocker is also blocked off. All exiting traffic off of Loop 306 headed east is being diverted north on Knickerbocker.

Wreckers are on the scene, and traffic should return to normal soon.
