DPS Identifies Woman Killed in Grape Creek Rd. Fatal Crash

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – The woman who was killed in the fatal crash near FM 2105 and Grape Creek Road on Monday night has been identified.

According to the crash report sent out by the Texas Department of Public Safety, on October 30, 2023, at 7:54 p.m., DPS responded to a crash at FM 2105 and Grape Creek Road. Once on the scene, the troopers discovered a 2008 Chrysler PT Cruiser and a 2023 Ford F-350 towing a trailer. For the original story, see: Fatal Crash on FM 2105 in San Angelo

In the PT Cruiser was 37-year-old Cheryl Anderson, of San Angelo. She was pronounced dead by Justice of the Peace Stayce Speck.

The driver of the truck, Jose Ruiz, 27, of San Angelo, and a 17-year-old passenger were rushed to Shannon with injuries. The teen's injuries were listed as serious.

The DPS's investigation shows the Cruiser was traveling south on Grape Creek Road nearing the intersection of FM 2105 and Grape Creek Road. As the PT Cruiser approached the intersection where a stop sign is posted for traffic control, the PT Cruiser failed to yield the right of way to traffic on FM 2105, and as a result, it collided with the F-350.
