WATCH: One Injured and Firetruck Engulfed in Flames After Oilfield Explosion

MIDLAND, TX -- A hot oiler explosion this morning left one injured and the Midland Fire Department down one truck.

According to CBS 7, on November 21, the Midland Fire Department was dispatched to the FM 307 near the Fair Grounds in Southeast Midland for the report of an explosion.

When firefighters arrived, they found a Hot Oiler Truck that had exploded. They immediately began evacuating all businesses and houses in a half-mile radius.

Then they began fighting the fire. Here is a video of the scene:

During the fight, fuel from the Hot Oiler leaked onto the ground and spread to the firetruck where they had to abandon it.

The MFD has now contained the fire and will continue to let it burn out.

So far only one person has been injured and it was not a firefighter.
