San Angelo Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a hit and run suspect who left a crash scene after injuring a motorcyclist early this morning.
At approximately 7:50 a.m. this morning, the driver of a silver colored, older model Buick passenger car was traveling south on Gunter Street when it ran the stop sign at Avenue Q and collided with a motorcycle that was eastbound in the intersection. The driver of the Buick did not stop after the collision and was last seen headed eastbound on Avenue R. Witnesses at the scene told police the suspect was a Hispanic male.
The 44-year-old driver of the motorcycle was transported to San Angelo Community Medical Center for treatment. His condition is unknown at this time.
Police believe the Buick will have impact damage to the back right side.
