San Angelo LIVE! turned a year old on Thursday, marking the official anniversary of the start-up that quickly became the choice news site for many members of the community.
While work began months before the new news platform officially launched, the first entries into the LIVE! database were made on Sept. 4, 2013, most of which were event postings.
Live’s official first article was published on Sept. 10, 2013, and centered on the rising number of hit and run incidents the city of San Angelo was experiencing at that time. Is Your Vehicle Doomed to be Damaged? the headline begs, and goes into comparative numbers of hit and run accidents from 2012 to 2013.
After a year steadfast reporting, we’ve compiled a Top 10 list of the website’s most popular articles, based on numbers provided by Google Analytics, which monitors website traffic by users. Because the vast majority of the top-charged articles revolve around tragedy, a second list follows of the highest-ranked upbeat articles.
