Any reason why this site always says "an area hospital" when they mean Shannon Hospital? You know there are only two hospitals in town, and they both have names...

PermalinkW A,
In crash stories, there are times where the officer who gives a statement does not know which hospital the individual was taken to at the time. We obviously can't post a hospital unless that's verified. At the time we put this information up, we were not provided with the hospital details. We will always post it when the information is provided, and have always done so. If not, this is the statement we will include.
Regards,
Brandy

PermalinkIf the police know what hospital the victim went, we'll usually say which one. However, many times at the scene, no one knows. In that case, it's a "hospital."
