Man Gets Plea Deal for Lewd Abuse of Teenager

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — A San Angelo man has agreed to take a plea deal for sexually assaulting a child.

Benjamin Flores Jr., 27, of San Angelo, has taken a plea deal for sexual assault of a child.

According to court documents, on January 24, 2022, San Angelo police completed a report of alleged sexual abuse of a child. The officer spoke with the child victim and learned that on January 20, 2022, while at a residence on the 400 block of Porter Street, Flores Jr. had sexually assaulted her.

Investigators spoke with Flores Jr., and he stated that he sexually assaulted the child victim at the residence on Porter Street. He also said that at the time he understood the victim was a child.

Flores Jr. was indicted in May 2022.

In exchange for a guilty plea, Flores Jr. was sentenced to 10 years deferred adjudication.

When will our so called justice system ever learn that there is no cure/rehab for pedophilia.

There is only one option for this mental sickness.   

What actually happened here? Are the courts having trouble prosecuting offenders? If so, how would they struggle to prosecute suspected vigilantes?
