Colorado City Chaos: Explicit &%$#! Threats at City Council

COLORADO CITY, TX – Chaos erupted following the Colorado City City Council Meeting this past week.

As previously reported, on July 17, 2023, a video was leaked of Colorado City City Councilman Sammy Contreras making threats toward a woman over a dispute of a water hose at the local cemetery. For the original story, see: On Video, Colorado City Councilman Makes Threats Against Woman

A little over a week after the video was leaked, chaos erupted in the city council meeting. Citizens across the small rural town in the Concho Valley expressed their concerns about the video. However, after the meeting ended, things took a turn for the worse.

Contreras' brother, Marcus, who was also seen in the original video, was recorded threatening a crowd of people outside of the council meeting. The video above shows that confrontation. Warning: explicit language can be heard in the video.

Colorado City Police and Texas DPS troopers were able to de-escalate the situation. They asked the crowd if anyone felt threatened to file a police report. It is unknown if any charges have been filed.
