SAN ANGELO, TX — An old antique Ford pickup truck was badly damaged in a crash at the intersection of 7th Street N. Bryant Blvd. early Saturday afternoon.
Police received conflicting stories from witnesses as to who was at fault so the investigation continues. The white Chevrolet pickup that hit the old Ford truck was able to drive away from the crash scene. The antique was hauled away by Home Motors.
The weather was clear and the roadways dry when the crash happened just before 1 p.m. today. There were no major injuries. The crash scene was cleared quickly and the roadways are open as of 2 p.m.
From comparing photos, we believe the pickup was a first generation F-series truck. These trucks were built from 1948 until 1952. This truck looked like a 1951 or 1952 model. What year model do you think it is? Comments below!

1951, flathead, with a three-speed column shift transmission and a clutch that would make your left leg's quad muscles grow at least an inch in diameter. Great old truck. I'd love to have it. I hope it survives the experience.

I used to live in the Steiner Ranch area of Austin, and more than just a few folks there like to restore rides. Heck, I saw an International Harvester panel truck of 1940s vintage tooling down the road not too long ago right next to the Beemers and Benzes of the snooty people in that neighborhood.
I no longer live there. I don't fit in. Anyway, surely someone can find a home for this majestic old beast and get it rolling again.
