WATCH: Convicted Felon & Notorious Cattle Thief Dusty Thompson's Clandestine Personal Attack on Joe Hyde

SAN ANGELO – The San Angelo Republican Women candidate forum for Tom Green County Judge candidates Monday night was rudely interrupted by a flyer illegally placed on tables before the event.  Evidence gathered after the event points to convicted felon and notorious cattle rustler Dusty Thompson as the individual who disseminated the personal attack on one of the candidates; Joe Hyde.  

Thompson was indentified by dozens of people in the audience including one candidate whom Thompson handed a flyer.  

A little background will help to see how this event transpired.  

Thompson made headlines a few years back when he was duly tried and convicted of cattle rustling by a jury of his peers in Tom Green County.  San Angelo LIVE! reported on the trial and events leading up to it.  

Thompson on several occasions harassed San Angelo LIVE! reporters and staff because of the publicity surrounding his trial and conviction.  He was sentenced to five years probation and fined $5,000. Thompson appealed his conviction and it was upheld.  Following his loss on appeal, on Nov. 16, 2021 Thompson was placed back on probation for 4 years and 9 months.  

Dusty Thompson is still on probation and appears to have violated that probation Monday might by going to a place where alcohol was sold and was in the presence of another convicted felon, Yantis Green.  (You can read Green's story in his book available at Amazon and Walmart).
