Nina O'Brien is 24-year-old skier from San Francisco, CA. This was her first time representing team USA in the olympic games.
Before O'Brien's run a number of other athletes including her teammate, Mikaela Shiffrin, failed to complete the course.
A spokesperson for the U.S. Ski Team has confirmed that O'Brien is alert and responsive.
Currently the United States is in 14th place with only 3 silver medals.
