Four Injured In ExxonMobil Fire Early Thursday Morning

 

BAYTOWN, TX –– An ExxonMobil refinery fire left multiple people injured early Thursday morning.

According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, a "major industrial accident" occurred after 1:00 a.m. Exxon Mobile has confirmed a fire occurred at the facility.

A few hours later, authorities reported at least four people were injured in the incident. Three of the victims had to be airlifted to the hospital.

The latest update indicated that all four victims were in stable condition

As of 9:00 a.m. the company has confirmed the "ExxonMobil emergency response teams have safely extinguished the fire."

At this time, air motoring showed no adverse air quality impact for the community or personnel.

The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
