KERRVILLE, TX -- A 29-year-old Kerrville man is behind bars accused of evading arrest, indecency with a child, promotion of child pornography.
According to the Kerr County Sheriff's Office, Christopher Allen Cuellar was arrested on Thursday, June 10 after police in North Carolina reported
Cuellar’s online activity the Texas Attorney General’s Office. The criminal complaint alleged Cuellar discussed the production and sharing of child pornography via social media with officers in North Carolina.
During a search of the suspect's home, officers seized multiple electronic devices. A forensic search of said devices revealed several videos and images related to the sexual assault of at least two female victims, a child under age 6 and a child under age 14.
When officers attempted to arrest Cuellar, the suspect forcefully evaded arrest by a KCSO investigator and KPD patrol officer. Cuellar also resisted a search and transport to jail.
Cuellar was charged with three counts of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child, three counts of Indecency with a Child by Contact, and two counts of Possession with Intent to Promote Child Pornography.
He is being held at the Kerr County Jail and his bond has been set at $2,232,500.
“This investigation has revealed unspeakable crimes against these two innocent children. We thank the Texas AG’s office for their work and KPD for cooperating on this warrant,” said Sheriff Larry Leitha. “With our Digital Forensic Unit and the Crime Stoppers grant that made it possible, there is nowhere to hide for people who abuse children in this way. We were able to process evidence in hours, not weeks, and may have prevented further acts by this suspect. Harming children will not be tolerated in Kerr County, and we will do all we can to aid prosecution of these heinous crimes.”
