EL PASO, TX — A 23-year-old woman has been arrested after police found she kept a dog in inhumane conditions.
According to KTXS, on July 11 officers found a dead female German Shepherd tied to a metal pole in the backyard.
In the backyard, officers found empty bowls beyond the reach of the length of the chain tied to the dog.
Officers also found that the suspect, identified as Jennifer De La Cruz, had failed to provide shade for the dog.
Additionally, the ground temperature at the time officers discovered the body of the dead German Shepherd was 152 degrees.
De La Cruz was arrested on Thursday.

Do the same to her.

PermalinkThe bad thing is, this may not be the only animal she has treated this way. This poor German Shepherd is just the one she got busted for. I've seen many Pit bulls, Rottweilers, Dobermans, German Shepherds and others chained in yards by their loving owners. I suppose these types of dogs must be some sort of status symbol or something. I truly hope she doesn't have children.

PermalinkIt seems that the most irresponsible and ignorant pieces of filth are compelled to own dogs which they and/or their neighborhoods are ill equipped to handle.
The criteria for pitbull owners here in Northside S.A. are: being a brain damaged, habitual drug user, having a fence which is either in shambles or non-existent to assure the dog roams freely on a regular basis and no means or willingness to provide adequate shelter, food or water for the animal.
Surely a chain and a clothesline post is cheaper than housing and feeding this rodent. I agree with Robert, let her spend the remainder of the summer under such conditions, with a bowl of stagnant hot water just out of her reach. If she makes it past September, set her free, and lesson learned...hopefully.

PermalinkLares, haven't you in your time posting at San Angelo Live, admitted to shooting at and poisoning neighborhood dogs where you live?
If society applied that logic to you Lares, what would your consequences be?
The law is in place to deal with animal cruelty wherever it can be found out.

PermalinkI've shot/shot at countless pit bulls, who've accosted my family and attempted to maul my cats and will continue to do so. I've put their owner's on notice, as well as local PD.
ALL instances occurred on my property.
If I'm ever found attacking someone's pets or charging someone's family on their property, by all means, send me straight to hell.

PermalinkYou haven't shot any dog inside this city legally.
Why didn't you want to address the poisoning that you admitted to, or did the police give you permission to do that too?
Quit with the front, we all know that nobody has permission to poison or shoot dogs here.
What a terrible attempt at making it seem like you're protecting your family, shooting "viscious" dogs...
How is poisoning a starving hood dog protecting your family?

PermalinkI'll bat you around another night, Nate.
In the mean time, just do the Christian thing: forgive me, and pray for me.
Be well.

PermalinkI hope she rots in Hell. Sorry for the language and Lares amen, not a day goes by that I do not see Pitbulls or Chihuahuas running the neighbor hood or in the middle of Bryant Blvd. I call animal services and they do not even bother to come. DISGUSTING! This is why I don't do people very well.

Permalink...because the owners are to blame, really.
San Angelo Animal Control is a lost cause. If you report a vicious dog at noon, consider yourself lucky if they get to you before 5 p.m.
