A blue Honda Accord and a white Chevy Silverado have collided on U.S. 87 north at F.M. 2105. One transported to the hospital with unknown injuries.
Traffic is heavy, however it is moving. The northbound lane on 87 is blocked.
On the scene are TXDPS, TGC Sheriff's Deputies and Grape Creek VFD. DPS is investigating the crash.
Update 6:51 p.m.
The investigating trooper, Jessica Springer, stated that the Silverado was at the stop sign at the intersection of U.S. 87 and F.M. 2105 and the Accord was traveling northbound in the left hand lane. The truck driver didn't see the Accord approaching and pulled in front of him, causing the the Accord to crash into the side of the truck.
The passenger in the Accord, 23-year-old Jessica Jatica of Lubbock, was transported to the hospital. There were two children in the back of the car, however neither were injured in the crash. Both of the children were in child safety seats and the drivers of the vehicles were wearing seatbelts.
The driver of the Silverado, Karry Byrd of San Angelo, was cited for failure to yield at a stop intersection.
