Fine Dining Restaurant Returning to Legendary San Angelo Location

SAN ANGELO, TX – The former home to the legendary Zentner's Daughter Steakhouse on Knickerbocker Rd. in San Angelo will have a new occupant soon; Napolis Italian Restaurant.

On Tuesday, there was evidence of remodeling at the location and the banner in the above photo was visible.

Napolis announced on social media earlier this year it was closing for good because of the Coronavirus shutdown.

As we reported earlier, Zentner's Daughter closed in December 2019 at the popular location in Stadium Park across Knickerbocker Rd. from San Angelo Stadium.

On May 7, 2020 Napoli's made this announcement: "Unfortunately due to shut down for Covid-19 for about eight weeks we are forced to shut down our restaurant permanently.

We thank all of people of San Angelo for supporting us, And we looking forward to see you at Lily’s Pizza."

Napolis earlier announced the restaurant would reopen in the Zentner's location.

The banner says Napolis Italian Restaurant is coming soon.

Seriously? The only time we ate there, I had leftovers to take home. By the time I got home, the container and the bag were soaked through. I couldn’t figure out what leaked until the next day. I took it out of the fridge and the grease had congealed. Never went back.
