Suspect Identified After Woman Found Dead Outside Catholic Church

 

MONAHANS, TX-- The Monahans Police Department was called to a crash Friday morning at the St. John Evangelist Catholic Church where they discovered a deceased person, according to CBS 7.

Police found the body of Latosha McPeake in the driver's seat of a car after it crashed behind St. John Evangelist Catholic Church. The Police say the crash had nothing to do with the cause of death.

McPeake was driving to the hospital when she crashed. Police still have not said a cause of death.

Jeremy Joel Ray McPeake has been charged with murder, a 1st Degree Felony. Police say that he either is or was her husband.

No motives nor other suspects have been found at this time.

Texas Rangers were called in to assist the the Monahans P.D. and they are treating this as a murder investigation.
