According to a press release, around 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, San Angelo Police were dispatched to Highland Grocery at 1001 S. Chadbourne for the report of an assault.

Officers arrived and located the victim inside an ambulance.  The man was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of multiple injuries he sustained in the assault.  His injuries are said to be non-life-threatening. His current condition is unknown.
