SAN ANGELO, TX — San Angelo police officers responded Friday afternoon to a reported burglary of a motor vehicle at Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Park, drawing a visible police presence to the area. No charges were filed.
The incident unfolded about 1:30 p.m. at the park, 2121 Martin Luther King Drive.
The Criminal Investigations Division took over the case and determined it was a burglary of a motor vehicle involving an uncooperative victim, the police stated. There will be no pending charges.
The original call for service was a robbery, but the call was then downgraded to the burglary of a vehicle incident.
