SAN ANGELO, TX — A grandmother was driving her grandchildren home, eastbound on Glenwood, and was almost home, when out of nowhere, a black Nissan Versa slammed into her red Ford F-150 from behind.
San Angelo police said the crash appears on the surface to be caused by a failure to control speed on part of the driver of the Nissan. Police said the red F-150 was eastbound on Glenwood Dr. near the intersection of Hatcher St. Her two grandchildren were riding with her.
Police said the initial indications are the driver of the Nissan, who was the sole occupant, was going too fast.
All four involved in the crash were rushed to the hospital complaining of minor injuries, police said.
San Angelo police must interview the driver of the Nissan before completing the investigation, so citations are pending that outcome.

You take you life in your hands just to go to the grocery store anymore! I live out in rural area and to drive hwy 87 is a bad enough. Then to get into San Angelo is another nightmare. Think my lucky stars and God above when I get back home safe and sound!
