Keeney Appears in Court as Prosecutors Seek to Revoke His Probation

SAN ANGELO, TX -- Prosecutors are seeking to revoke Christopher Keeney’s probation and possibly send him to prison after he served 22 months of a 24 month probation.  

Keeney, 37, is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after he allegedly stabbed Jordan Schwartz in a home in the 2700 block of Southland in 2014.  In May of 2015 he was put on probation for two years.  In March 2017, he was arrested for violating his probation.  

According to court documents, Keeney failed to make his probation payments, he used alcohol, he failed to report to the probation office, he failed to complete community service and he failed to complete an anger management class.  

Keeney failed to appear at a motion to revoke probation hearing on September 27.  District Judge Brad Goodwin forfeited his $20,000 bail and set his new bail at $40,000.  Court records indicate Keeney made bond and is out of jail.

Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon is a second degree felony punishable by 2 to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000.

Keeney's motion to revoke probation hearing is set for October 25 at 2 p.m. in the Tom Green County Courthouse.
