Veribest and Crowell are tied for fifth at 415.

Wood shot an opening-round 82 and sits three shots off the lead behind Grady’s Audrey Marler, who fired a 79. Blanket’s Karli Kinkade is one shot off the lead, while Utopia’s Kinsley Cox is two shots back in third.

The second and final round of the UIL State Golf Tournament will be held Tuesday.
