WATCH: Concho Valley Transit Bus Involved in Crash on Northside

SAN ANGELO, TX— A Concho Valley Transit Bus was involved in a major crash in north San Angelo.

According to scanner reports, around 3:05 p.m., a Concho Valley Transit Bus was involved in a major crash at 19th Street and Armstrong Street. Reporters on scene observed a city bus with front right passenger side damage at the scene parked in the Wash Dry laundromat parking lot and a red Ford pickup in the Stripes parking lot.

A San Angelo police officer was given two different stories. One was that the bus was traveling eastbound, ran the red light, and struck the red truck that had a green light heading northbound. The second story is that the bus was turning left onto 19th Street from Armstrong Street and turned in front of the red truck, causing a collision.

No citations have been issued at this point, but the bus has cameras on-board, and the crash will require further investigation. The Concho Valley Transit bus did not have any passengers and only a driver. A passenger in the red truck was taken to the hospital with non-incapacitating injuries.
