Abilene Wylie ISD Employee Killed After Being Struck by Bus

 

ABILENE, TX — An Abilene Wylie ISD employee was killed at the school’s bus barn Tuesday morning, according to Big Country Homepage.

Lupe Garcia, 64, was struck by a bus traveling at a low rate of speed in what is believed to have been an accident, police stated. 

No students were on the bus at the time.

Garcia was reportedly a longtime bus driver for the school district and refereed youth sports around the Abilene area.

The incident is being investigated by the Abilene Police Department and Wylie ISD.
