Chilly Start, Gradual Warm-Up Expected

SAN ANGELO, TX — A cold morning is underway, with sunny skies and a high near 49 degrees expected later today.

Early wind chill values are ranging between 20 and 30 degrees, accompanied by a north-northeast wind blowing at 5 to 10 mph, according to the National Weather Service.

Tonight, conditions will remain mostly clear, with temperatures dipping to around 21 degrees. Winds from the north will calm to around 5 mph by evening.

A warming trend is forecast for Friday and Saturday, with daytime highs climbing to the 50s and lower 60s across the Concho Valley. Friday morning, however, will bring frigid conditions, with lows in the low-to-mid 20s across the region. Residents are advised to protect pipes, pets, and plants.

By Saturday, temperatures are expected to peak in the mid-60s, but a cold front arriving Saturday night will usher in cooler conditions for early next week.

Extended forecasts show minimum temperatures in San Angelo ranging from 21 degrees Friday morning to a mild 40 degrees by Tuesday. Maximum temperatures are expected to fluctuate between 55 degrees on Friday and 63 degrees on Saturday before cooling again early in the week.
