SAN ANGELO, TX - As winter approaches, the City of San Angelo has outlined resources for residents to stay safe during colder months, including warming shelters and key service updates.
The Salvation Army San Angelo shelter at 122 W. 2nd St. will open from 5 p.m. to 7 a.m. whenever temperatures drop below 36 degrees. The facility has limited capacity, and intake will occur through the Police Department. For more information, residents can contact the Salvation Army at 325-655-6981.
Additionally, The Oasis at St. Paul Presbyterian Church, 11 N. Park St., will serve as a warming shelter from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
For emergencies, residents should call 911. Non-emergency dispatch can be reached at 325-657-4315. Travelers utilizing the San Angelo Regional Airport are advised to verify travel plans with their airline.

- Water Utilities: 325-657-4295 for water leaks or sewer backups.

The City also shared additional local and state resources, including the Concho Valley Homeless Planning Coalition, Concho Valley Transit, and the Texas Division of Emergency Management.
