Early Morning Fire Destroys Abilene Home

 

ABILENE, TX — A residential structure fire early Wednesday morning caused an estimated $133,007 in damages to a home in the 3000 block of Hickory Street.

The Abilene Fire Department responded just after 2:50 a.m. to find the single-family dwelling fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters launched an attack and called a second alarm to protect nearby homes from exposure.

The home is considered a total loss. No injuries have been reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
