Robert Lee ISD Confirms Basketball Team Bus Crash, Reports Minor Injuries

 

ROBERT LEE, TX — Robert Lee ISD officials have confirmed that the girls’ varsity basketball team bus was involved in a collision with a pickup truck on Saturday, December 15, while returning from a tournament hosted by Borden County ISD.

According to a statement from Superintendent Aaron Hood, the accident was described as “major,” but all students and coaches sustained only minor injuries.

“We are truly thankful for God’s protection of our kids and coaches,” Hood stated. “It was only by the grace of God that we were able to avoid a horrible tragedy.”
