Crash Hits Pause on Tour of Lights Fun

SAN ANGELO, TX – Holiday cheer took a hit Saturday night when a two-car crash on the Oakes Street Bridge threw a wrench in the flow of San Angelo’s Tour of Lights.

Traffic was anything but merry as drivers navigated the aftermath of the collision. Photos from the scene show a mess of crumpled bumpers, spilled fluids, and a few annoyed drivers, but thankfully, no injuries were reported.

The unexpected roadblock left Christmas lights shining on a less-than-festive scene as crews worked to clear the wreckage.

We received no word from authorities on what caused the crash, but drivers are reminded to take it easy out there—Santa’s watching.
