3-Vehicle Crash on Sherwood Way Sends 3 to Hospital

SAN ANGELO, TX — A three-vehicle crash on Sherwood Way on Monday caused three people to leave the scene in an ambulance.

The crash occurred at about noon at the intersection of Sherwood Way and Sunset Drive.

A hydraulic rescue tool, also known as the jaws of life, had to be used on one of the vehicles to extract the occupants.

Two vehicles collided head on, while a third struck a traffic light.

According to a traffic officer with the San Angelo Police Department, a witness stated that a blue Chevy Cavalier traveling westbound on Sherwood Way failed to yield the right of way and collided with a white Buick Encore.

The crash sent the Cavalier into the traffic light, while the Encore then struck a blue Ford Escape that was stopped at the intersection.

The driver of the Encore went to the hospital, as did the driver and passenger of the Cavalier, according to the officer.
