SAPD Arrest the Fourth Suspect Wanted in San Angelo North Sellers Shooting

Last Thursday, the San Angelo Police Department put out a press release asking for the public’s help in locating the fourth suspect involved in the shooting of a 69-year-old man at his home in the 500 block of North Sellers St. Well, after 2 p.m. yesterday, officials from SAPD Special Operations Section identified and arrested Eric J. Martinez, 26, said Tracy Gonzalez, public information officer for SAPD.

Gonzalez said SAPD initially observed Martinez as a passenger traveling in a white Buick LeSabre in the area of 17th St. and N. Bryant Blvd. The San Angelo man was the subject of an arrest warrant issued last week for his involvement in the shooting incident in late August that left the victim in grave condition.

Patrol Units assisted with the traffic stop of the vehicle, and Martinez was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Green County Jail without incident. He was also charged with Burglary of a Habitation with Intent to Commit other Felony. SAPD released the driver of the LeSabre at the scene.

Gonzalez also said the three other suspects involved and previously arrested, Fernando Lavaris Jr., Eliza (AKA Lisa) Losoya, and Jonathan Jesse Marin remain in the Tom Green County Jail on the same charge.  Additionally, Detectives James Hernandez and Jason Chegwidden remain the lead Investigators for this Case.
