SAN ANTONIO, TX - The Texas Department of Transportation has released its Thanksgiving weekend travel forecast for the I-10 corridor, warning of heavy traffic on peak travel days.

Motorists can expect significant congestion on Wednesday and Sunday, especially in major cities like El Paso, San Antonio, Houston, and Beaumont.

The heaviest traffic is predicted on Wednesday, Nov. 27, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., with bottlenecks likely in El Paso, San Antonio, Sealy/Katy, and Beaumont. Sunday, Dec. 1, will also see severe delays from noon to 7 p.m., affecting additional areas such as Seguin, Baytown, Waelder/Flatonia, and Orange.

Thursday, Nov. 28, Thanksgiving Day itself, is expected to have light traffic, with minor delays around El Paso between 4 and 5 p.m. Traffic levels rise again Friday, Nov. 29, and Saturday, Nov. 30, with moderate congestion anticipated from noon to 7 p.m. in cities like Columbus, Sealy, and Houston.

Travelers are encouraged to plan their trips accordingly, avoiding peak travel times when possible.
