Angelo State Women's Soccer Wins in OT, Advances to 3rd Round of Playoffs

SAN ANGELO, TX — The Angelo State women’s soccer team defeated Dallas Baptist 1-0 in overtime Sunday to advance to the third round of the NCAA Division II playoffs.

It is the first time ASU has advanced to the regional final in program history.

Senior forward Grace Jordan scored just 35 seconds into overtime to give the Rambelles the win.

It was the second time in eight days ASU beat Dallas Baptist in overtime. The Belles rallied for a 2-1 win over DBU last week in the Lone Star Conference Tournament final.

No. 2-seeded ASU now moves on to play at No. 1 Colorado Mines at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 1.

ASU improved its record to 14-1-5. The Belles have allowed only nine goals all season.
