SAN ANGELO, TX — The Angelo State men's basketball team had everything working in its home opener Tuesday in a 101-58 romp over Arlington Baptist at the Junell Center.
The Rams shot an incredible 52.3% from the floor and knocked down 50% of their 3-pointers.
Five Rams scored in double figures, led by Carvell Teasett’s 22 points. The 6-foot-1 senior guard made 5-of-6 shots from three-point range and was 5-of-5 from the free-throw line.
He also had four assists and three steals.
Sterling Gaston-Chapman had 20 points and 12 rebounds, while Kaden Evans had 17 points, Shemar Smith had 13 and Jalen Gilmore had 11.
ASU improved to 2-1 and will open Lone Star Conference play at 3 p.m. Saturday in Odessa.
