Lake View Chiefs' Season Ends With Loss to Stephenville

ABILENE, TX — The San Angelo Lake View football team's season ended with a 70-0 loss to No. 4-ranked Stephenville on Friday in a Class 4A Division I first-round playoff game at Shotwell Stadium.

Stephenville quarterback Ryan Gafford threw four touchdown passes as the Yellow Jackets built a 49-0 lead by halftime.

Stephenville improved to 10-1 and advances to play Hereford in the area round.

Lake View's season ended with a record of 2-9.

The Chiefs had four losses by eight points or less, and they will return numerous starters from this team  next year, which points to a bright future.

Quarterback Chris Alvizo, wide receiver Braylon White and running back Izaiah Rios are among the players returning who will try to help Lake View take another step forward next season.
