SAN ANGELO, TX— A podcaster and former NFL player has issued a response to the Washington Post after he and his co-host laughed at a comment made by former president Donald Trump.
Will Compton and Taylor Lewan run Barstool Sports' “Bussin’ with the Boys,” a sports podcast where the two former NFL stars talk with professional athletes. They recently interviewed current presidential nominee and former president Donald Trump and laughed at a comment Trump made.
Trump’s comment was about why he stopped playing football. He said he did not want somebody tackling him who lifted weights all day and came out of a bad neighborhood. The Washington Post reached out to Compton and Lewan as to why they laughed and found that comment funny.
Compton took to X to offer his response to the Washington Post.
An excellent rebuttal from Compton there because he is right, the national media is going to try and spin them simply laughing at a comment into a PR nightmare. Also, this video did display great discipline by Compton, which is why he played linebacker at Nebraska and for 10 years in the NFL.
