Two Pickups Collide on US 87 at FM 2105

SAN ANGELO, TX — A crash at FM 2105 and US 87 north has traffic snarled in the southbound lanes.

From observing the wreckage, it appears a red compact pickup may have attempted a left turn to head south on US 87 off of FM 2105 and a black Ram pickup hit it. The Ram's entire front end is destroyed. The red compact pickup ended up being hurled across the west side barrow ditch and hit a fence.

Meanwhile most of the crash investigation is being conducted in the southbound lanes making traffic headed toward San Angelo come to a standstill.

One ambulance was observed departing the crash scene with lights and sirens. 

The crash happened just before 5 p.m. The skies are clear and the roadways are dry. The speed limit is 75 mph on US 87 at this location.
