SAN ANGELO, TX - Above-normal temperatures will persist across West Central Texas today, October 3, with highs expected to reach the upper 80s to low 90s, according to the National Weather Service in San Angelo.
Tonight’s temperatures will drop to the low to mid-60s, under mostly clear skies. Winds will be light, coming from the south to southeast at 5 to 10 mph.

A weak cold front is expected to arrive on Friday, bringing slightly cooler temperatures for the weekend. Highs across the region will dip into the upper 80s starting on Saturday and continue through the early part of next week.

The National Weather Service has also released its winter seasonal outlook, predicting above-normal temperatures and below-normal precipitation for the area. The forecast indicates a 71 percent chance of a weak La Niña developing this winter, which typically brings drier and warmer conditions to West Central Texas from December through February.
As spring approaches, La Niña is expected to weaken, returning to neutral conditions, with average chances of rainfall but continuing above-normal temperatures for the region, according to NWS.
