SAN ANGELO, TX— A San Angelo man took a plea deal for threatening someone in a fast-food drive thru with a gun.
According to court documents, on April 28, 2024, at 2:34 a.m., San Angelo police officers were dispatched to 4646 Knickerbocker Road regarding a threat call.
Investigators learned from the officer’s report that the victim was driving in his vehicle and was parked in the drive thru of a fast-food restaurant. The victim did have a dash and rear facing camera and footage showed Galvan’s vehicle pull in behind the victim.
In the footage, Galvan pulled extremely close to the victim’s vehicle and eventually hit the vehicle.
The victim got out of his vehicle to exchange information with Galvan but when the victim walked up to Galvan’s window, he brandished a handgun at him. The victim raised his hands and walked back to his vehicle. Galvan continued to be aggressive until he left the scene. Police were not able to locate Galvan when they responded.
The investigator used Galvan’s license plate to find his apartment
In exchange for a guilty plea, Galvan was sentenced to seven years deferred adjudication.

Run into someone's car then threaten to kill them with a gun and San Angelo offers a plea deal with probation. No wonder crime is happening more and more often and becoming more violent. I suppose soft on crime makes the prosecution's job much easier and mitigates the cost of prosecution. That does not work. Instead of crime getting better it just keeps getting worse. It doesn't take a genius to understand that.

PermalinkCommit a crime even if all you do is brandish a firearm and you go to jail. Period.
This clown apparently did a bit more than that. I assume he will be allowed to own firearms in the future.
