Trooper, Deputy, and Civilian Hospitalized After Second Crash on Highway 302

 

NOTREES, TX – A Texas Department of Public Safety trooper, an Ector County Sheriff’s Office deputy, and a civilian were transported to area hospitals following a second crash on State Highway 302 in northwestern Ector County.

The ECSO reported that deputies were initially dispatched to a traffic crash at Highway 302 and Marian at 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday. A second crash occurred in the same area just before 8:50 a.m.

The three individuals' injuries are currently unknown.

As a result, traffic in the area is significantly backed up, and authorities have advised motorists to find alternative routes.

There is no estimate for when the highway will reopen, and further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
