OZONA, TX — The Brady Bulldogs rallied from a 13-point deficit in the fourth quarter for an impressive 47-45 road win over Ozona on Friday.
Brady trailed 39-26 after Ozona scored early in the final quarter, but the Bulldogs scored three straight TDs to surge ahead 47-39.
Ozona scored with about three minutes left, but Brady’s defense stopped the two-point conversion, and the Bulldogs were able to run out the clock.
Brady had a 1-2 punch in the backfield as Johnny Menefield had 11 carries for 157 rushing yards and three touchdowns, while Ashton Taylor had 22 carries for 135 yards and one TD.
Ashton Ramsey had four catches for 80 yards and a TD, and he had an interception on defense. Mason Airheart had two catches for 27 yards and two TDs.
Quarterback Sean Jacoby was an efficient 9-of-10 passing for 126 yards and three TDs.
Johnny Menefield had 16 tackles and three tackles for loss to lead the Bulldogs' defense. Nasir Menefield had 15 tackles.
Johnny Roque had 13 tackles and a sack, while Alijah Stark and Demarcus Reed each had 10 tackles.

Brady (2-1) will play at Ballinger (3-0) next week in an intriguing early season matchup.

Sonora Shuts Out Eldorado
The Sonora Broncos’ defense locked down Eldorado in a 41-0 win Friday.
Sonora’s passing game did the rest as sophomore quarterback Aaron Segura threw for 281 yards and three TDs on 21-of-31 passing.
Dylan Ford had four catches for 92 yards, while Kam Aguero had six catches for 62 yards.
Sonora (1-2) will travel to Alpine next week, while Eldorado (1-2) will host Miles.
Robert Lee Edged Again in Loss to Ira
For the second consecutive week, the Robert Lee Steers came up just short Friday, this time in a 44-38 loss to Ira.
Robert Lee was coming off a 68-60 loss to Garden City last week.
In the high-scoring world of six-man football, two losses by a combined 14 points is a razor-thin margin.
Robert Lee was led by Brenner Sherwood, who had 19 carries for 130 rushing yards and four touchdowns. He also completed 9 of 18 passes for 143 yards and a TD.
Sherwood had 11 tackles on defense, and he even launched a 57-yard punt.
Nate Samaniego had six catches for 116 yards and a TD, and he had an interception and fumble recovery on defense.
Edward Samaniego led the Steers’ defense with 14 tackles.
Robert Lee (1-2) will play again next week when it hosts Blackwell.
May-Rochelle moved to Saturday
Due to a lack of officials, the May-Rochelle football game has been moved to 7 p.m. Saturday in May.
May is ranked No. 5 in the state in 1A Division I. Rochelle is No. 10 in 1A Division II.
Lohn Suffers First Loss to Paint Creek
The Lohn Eagles suffered their first setback this season with a 30-8 loss to Paint Creek.
Lohn was 2-0 for the first time in 21 years.
The Eagles were led by Barrett Brock, who threw for 116 yards and a TD on 10-of-21 passing.
Jase Moreno had two catches for 47 yards and a TD, while Kadin Reeves had three catches for 50 yards.
Brock had seven carries for 41 rushing yards. Fermin De La Rosa had eight carries for 40 yards.
Lohn will play again next week at Olfen.
Mason Punchers Cruise Past Coleman
Sütten Silerio rushed for 141 yards and four TDs on 10 carries as the Mason Punchers overwhelmed Coleman 53-6.
Carlton Schmidt was 5-of-10 passing for 148 yards and two TDs, and he added 71 rushing yards and a TD on eight carries.
Hunter Bradley had two catches for 89 yards and a TD. Clancy Osbourn's only catch went for a 37-yard TD.
Mason also scored when Jonah Resendez blocked a punt, which was returned 20 yards for a TD by Slade Buell.
Mason (2-1) will play at Junction (3-0) next week. Coleman (0-3) will host Cisco.
