SAN ANGELO, TX — The San Angelo Police Department announced openings Friday for experienced officers.
“If you’re a seasoned law enforcement professional looking for a new challenge and a supportive community, we want you on our team,” information stated.
The police department is offering a $7,500 sign-on bonus for lateral officers with an intermediate TCOLE License.
Officers who join the force will work 12-hour shifts with alternating weekends off and will be part of the TMRS retirement plan, which offers a 2:1 match.
The department offers tiered entry pay based on experience: intermediate entry pay starts at $65,500, advanced entry pay at $71,500, and master entry pay at $76,500.
Additional perks include the acceptance of beards and tattoos, provided uniforms and gear, and take-home units.
