Dallas Cowboys Superstar Not Expected at Training Camp

OXNARD, CA— A Dallas Cowboys superstar may not attend training camp until he gets a new contract.

Dallas Cowboys superstar wide receiver, CeeDee Lamb, is not expected to be at training camp in Oxnard, California. The wide receiver more than likely will not attend camp until he gets a new contract. Lamb is in the last year of his rookie deal.

Other pass catchers in the NFL have cashed in this offseason like Justin Jefferson with the Minnesota Vikings, A.J. Brown with the Philadelphia Eagles, and Amon-Ra St. Brown with the Detroit Lions. Lamb had 135 receptions last season, first among receivers, 1,749 yards, which was second most last season, 12 touchdowns, good enough for third in the NFL, and tied for first with 29 receptions of more than 20 yards.

The Cowboys should consider themselves lucky that Lamb is the only one holding out for a new deal as quarterback Dak Prescott is also entering the last year on his current contract and linebacker Micah Parsons is coming up as well.

In the end, the Cowboys will get a deal done with Lamb. He is one of the best, if not the best, receiver in the NFL, and Dallas does not have much depth behind him. Other than Lamb, the only other proven NFL receiver is Brandin Cooks. Guys like Jalen Tolbert, Jalen Brooks, KaVontae Turpin, Ryan Flournoy, and David Durden are battling it out for the third through sixth spots.

Even at tight end and full back, the only proven guy is Jake Ferguson who broke out last season. Hunter Luepke is at full-back and is only in his second year.
