San Angelo Junior Angler Breaks Own Record at Lake Nasworthy

SAN ANGELO, TX — A young local fisherman broke his own record at Lake Nasworthy over the weekend.

Kase Hahn caught a 5.3-pound flathead catfish Saturday, July 20, which was nearly double the weight of his 2.75-pound record flathead in April, according to the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department Inland Fisheries San Angelo District.

Hahn has four junior angler waterbody records for Lake Nasworthy, including largemouth bass (weight and length) and common carp (weight).

Lake Nasworthy has made some noise recently with two ShareLunkers caught there this summer after the lake went more than a year without one being caught.
