Warm Weather Expected to Continue Through Mid-October

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — The National Weather Service in San Angelo reports that above-normal temperatures are expected to persist across West Central Texas through at least mid-October, with rain chances remaining minimal.

According to the 6–10 Day Temperature Outlook issued Oct. 7, much of the central and eastern United States, including Texas, is forecast to experience warmer-than-average conditions between Oct. 13 and Oct. 17. 

The local forecast shows highs in San Angelo hovering around 89–91 degrees through next Wednesday, with lows in the low to mid-60s.

Normal temperatures for early to mid-October typically range from 80–83 degrees in San Angelo and 79–82 degrees in Abilene. The NWS says both cities are expected to remain several degrees above those averages for the next week.

Meteorologists also noted that precipitation is likely to stay below normal during this period, with little to no rain forecast.
