Top 10 Offensive Linemen to Watch in West Texas in 2024

SAN ANGELO, TX — Here are our top 10 offensive linemen to watch heading into the upcoming 2024 high school football season in West Texas:

Chantz Reed/Rylan Todd/John Preston Parrish/Walker Ince/Cannon Rabon, Mason

The Mason Punchers are returning their entire offensive line from last year's 11-1 team that averaged over 38 points per game. All five are seniors, and all of them were first-team all-district. We're not picking between them, so they'll have to share one spot. With such a talented group returning, this year's offensive line brings back memories of the legendary Fat Boys line from the 2011 state championship team. The talent and experience up front is a big reason why Mason is considered one of the best teams in the state in Class 2A Division I.

Chase Cole/Tu’uta Kalamafoni, San Angelo Central

The Bobcats return two starters on their offensive line, each of whom earned honorable mention on the All-District 2-6A team. Cole (6-1, 270) and Kalamafoni (6-2, 270) are seniors who were part of a Central offense that scored 34 points per game last year despite a 1-9 record. They'll be counted on to anchor the line as Central looks for a turnaround season in 2024.

Emmett Marlatt/Hudson Braden, Wall

Marlatt and Braden were both first-team all-district selections last year for a Wall team that went 11-3 and averaged 41 points per game. Marlatt (6-2, 230), a center, and Braden (6-1, 225), a guard, are both seniors and among five returning starters on offense who will lead the way as the Hawks transition to a spread offense.

Demarcus Reed, Brady

Reed had a breakout sophomore season last year, capped by first-team all-district recognition as an offensive lineman and defensive tackle. In addition to his blocking on offense, he had 79 tackles in 11 games, including six tackles for loss and two sacks. He also had an interception and forced a fumble.

Christian Martinez, Sonora

Martinez is the top returning lineman for the Broncos. He was a first-team all-district pick last year as a junior for a Sonora team that went 11-2 and averaged 41 points per game.

Colton Kelly, Miles

The 6-foot-5, 240-pound Kelly was a force in the trenches for Miles who was named first-team all-district as an offensive lineman and defensive end last year as a junior. His blocking helped the Bulldogs' offense average 44 points per game, and he posted 72 tackles on defense, along with four tackles for loss, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.

Sergio Ochoa, Junction

Ochoa (6-0, 240) helped lock down the Eagles' line on both sides of the ball last year, and he garnered first-team all-district honors as an offensive lineman and defensive lineman. He'll be looked to as a senior leader for Junction in its drop to Class 2A Division II this fall.

Jaysen Santellano, Eldorado

Santellano (5-11, 195) was named first-team all-district on both sides of the line during his junior season last year. He is the Eagles' only returner who was named first- or second-team all-district, so his presence is critical for Eldorado this fall.

Kolter Fulk, Christoval

Fulk (5-11, 240) was a first-team all-district selection on the offensive line while playing for a Christoval team that struggled to a 3-7 record and scored only 13 points per game. Along with second-team all-district pick Raythen Broadway (6-0, 230), Fulk will anchor the Cougars up front.

Cutter Cody, Coleman

Cody (5-10, 230) was a first-team all-district selection for the Bluecats last year as a junior. He helped power a Coleman offense that averaged 32 points per game. He'll be joined up front by second-team all-district picks from last year, senior Skyler Clark and sophomore Easton Meador. Cody was also first-team all-district as a linebacker.
