He was southbound on Chadbourne in a relatively unmarked pickup truck, but police said he was running his emergency lights when responding to the area near Home Motors.
As the constable turned off Chadbourne and onto Christoval Road, an unsuspecting civilian, who had a green light and failed to see the emergency lights on the constable’s pickup, collided with the constable’s vehicle. Meanwhile, the foot chase continued. It started as the Texas DPS was en route to arrest Bryan Espinoza, a rapper and barber, at Home Motors. That's when Espinoza fled. Espinoza has a motion to revoke his probation for DWI and evading arrest. He also faces charges of driving with an invalid license and expired vehicle registration. Additionally, he recently failed to appear in court. He was arrested on May 30 for stalking, an allegation he said was his girlfriend lying to police about his actions.
Espinoza was quickly found near Home Motors and arrested, though he complained of having trouble breathing. It’s possible he was out of breath from running. He was loaded into an ambulance and somberly escorted by the Texas DPS to Shannon ER.
