HOLLYWOOD, CA— The first trailer for Robert Eggers’ vampire flick, “Nosferatu” has dropped.
New horror icon Robert Eggers, who directed The Lighthouse, The Northman, and The VVitch, has released a first trailer for his next film, a reboot of “Nosferatu”.
The official synopsis reads:
Robert Eggers’ Nosferatu is a gothic tale of obsession between a haunted young woman and the terrifying vampire infatuated with her, causing untold horror is its wake.
Nosferatu is no stranger to remakes as the original one, based of Bram Stoker’s novel, released in 1922 and was remade in 1979. Eggers’ movies lean heavily into myth so expect the same from Nosferatu.
The cast of Eggers’ Nosferatu includes:
- Lily Rose-Depp (The King, Silent Night) as Ellen Hutter
- Nicholas Hoult (Mad Max: Fury Road, The Menu) as Thomas Hutter
- Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Kick-Ass, Tenet) as Friedrich Harding
- Willem Dafoe (The Lighthouse, Spider-Man) as Proffesor Albin Eberhart Von Franz
- Emma Corrin (Deadpool & Wolverine, A Murder at the End of the World) as Anna Harding
- Ralph Ineson (Game of Thrones, The Green Knight) as Dr. Wilhelm Sievers
- Bill Skarsgard (IT, John Wick Chapter 4) as Count Orlok
The cast features a couple of frequent collaborators that Eggers has already worked with in the past like Ineson playing in both Nosferatu and The VVitch, Dafoe in The Lighthouse and The Northman.
Nosferatu it set to hit theaters on December 25, 2024.
